Filters
When choosing a pond filtration system the most important element is to ensure that you get the right sized filter. If the filter is to small it won’t be able to cope with the volume of water in your pond resulting in a build up of toxins which will affect the health of your fish.
Calculating the correct filter size for your pond
To ensure that you purchase the correct sized filter for your garden fish pond multiply the length, width and depth of your pond in metres and multiply the resulting figure by one thousand. This will give you the volume of your pond in litres from which you can select the correct size filter. If you are uncertain it is always advised to go for the next size up.
If you are looking for a filter for your garden pond we have a wide selection to choose from. From specialist koi pond filters, such as the Oasis Vor-tec and Specialist filters, to the smaller Green Genie & Green 2 Clean fish pond filters.
